Dr. Gordon S. Wood

Five years have passed since the emergence of democracy movements across the Middle East.  In his lectures, Dr. Wood will share insights from his lifelong study of the American Revolution, expanding on thoughts he offered to Egyptian leaders during their visit to the prestigious Center for Strategic and International Studies.

Dr. Gordon Wood is a world-renowned scholar of American history. His many honors include the 1993 Pulitzer Prize for History and the 1970 Bancroft Prize. He was awarded the National Humanities Medal in 2010.
