Biography
I am interested in Asian American women’s activism during the late 20th Century. Currently, my research focuses on the nascent Asian American Movement and Third World Solidarity Movement in California. I explore how radical organizing was an inherently gendering activity for Asian American and Third World protestors. As such, I analyze how gender shaped movement culture, labor reproduction, consciousness-raising, cultural production, political education, as well as differing and emergent forms of resistance.
