Professor Sarah Thal and her students from History 300: History at Work, took a trip to the Wisconsin Historical Society as part of their class. Lisa Saywell, Director of Public Services, gave the students a tour of the building, including the library and storage room where they keep the newspaper archives, which happen to be the second largest collection in the U.S. The students also took time to ask Lisa about her profession and the steps she took to get there. Lastly, Lisa showed the class some of her favorite archives and the students were able to examine them more in depth.
