Ph.D. Candidate Jennifer Stitt Publishes New Article on Rachel Carson

Jennifer StittCurrent Ph.D. candidate Jennifer Stitt, who studies U.S. intellectual and cultural history, has published a new piece in the digital magazine Aeon. Her article is titled “For Rachel Carson, wonder was a radical state of mind,” and discusses the conservationist icon’s use of wonder as a central pillar in her ecological and moral philosophy. Stitt is currently at work on her dissertation, tentatively titled “Seeking Solitude: Imagining Self and Society in America,” and is advised by Professor Jennifer Ratner-Rosenhagen.
