Megan Raby wins 2016 Derek Price/Rod Webster Prize

History of Science alumna Megan Raby has received the 2016 Derek Price/Rod Webster Prize presented at the recent History of Science Society (HSS) annual meeting in Atlanta. Awarded for the best article in the HSS journal Isis published in issues three years prior to the year in which the award is given, Megan won with her 2015 article titled Ark and Archive: Making a Place for Long-Term Research on Barro Colorado Island, Panama.

Megan, who received her Ph.D. in 2012, is now an Assistant Professor in the Department of History at University of Texas at Austin. Her work emphasizes the transnational connections of science in the US and Latin America in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Nicely done Megan!
