Biography

My research interests currently orbit around the intersection of Soviet and Southern African History, with special consideration given to Soviet involvement in African wars of liberation and anti-colonial movements. I am also interested in exploring the broader themes of national identity building under colonialist regimes, Pan-Africanism, and global perceptions of race. B.A. from Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, in Russian Language and History with a concentration in African history.
