Daniel C. Moreno

Daniel C. Moreno (’86) is a District Court Judge in Hennepin County Minnesota. Prior to his appointment to the bench in 2006 Dan was a criminal trial lawyer for 16 years in the Hennepin County Public Defender’s Office. As the son of Mexican-American immigrants Dan has been an active member of the Latino legal community serving as an adviser, director and member of numerous boards and committees. An avid outdoorsman, he is active member and leader in the Boy Scouts of America and Wilderness Inquiry, an organization dedicated to connecting people from all walks of life to the natural world. Dan was deeply influenced by the energy and passion of Professor John M. Cooper. Dan lives in Minneapolis with his wife Jean and their three children. His eldest son is a student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
