Biography

My research focuses on the Nixonian origins of conservative television news; seeking to uncover the role that the administration (and its intellectual-political milieu) occupied as a laboratory for image-conscious conservatives in a broader struggle to stem the cultural liberalism unleashed by the “long Sixties”. My other research interests include the intersection of populism and political elites, the intellectual history of populism, the institutionalization of cultural-political grievance, as well as the history of modern propaganda in the West.
