I hold a BA in History from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus, and am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Latin American and Caribbean History at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. I was a research fellow through the Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellowship (2023–2025), participated in the Digital Humanities Scholars in Residence program at UPR Caribe Digital (2024–2025), and attended the History Summer Institute at Columbia University in 2025. I have presented both nationally and internationally in symposia and conferences and have multiple peer-reviewed articles, book reviews, and published transcriptions. My research interests focus on the intellectual and conceptual history of the Caribbean in the 19th and 20th centuries, with a particular emphasis on understanding the conditions of possibility for conceptual change without revolution or independence. I have also worked on violence and memory of socialism, revolution, and independence in Puerto Rico.
