Biography
In my previous research, I examined the social and urban landscape transformations in Ottoman Smyrna over the longue durée, from the late seventeenth to the early twentieth century. My current research explores the circulation of people, materials, and ideas across cultural, ethnic, and religious boundaries in the Eastern Mediterranean during the long nineteenth century.
