Current
I lead and manage the Karpat Center, web presence, unit budget, academic events, programs, projects, grants and scholarships related to Turkish Studies; collaborate with UW units and promote the growth of Turkish Studies and Turkish Language on UW Campus and student developmental goals. I also manage all operations of the academic, peer-reviewed journal International Journal of Turkish Studies and publishes.
I taught Central Asian History courses at the UW and lectured on Central Asia and Turkey at various conferences and universities; worked at Turkish Historical Society in Ankara, Turkey.
Education
MA and PhD in History with a PhD minor in Political Science and an MLA in Library of Science from UW-Madison; BA in Russian Language and Literature from Faculty of Language, History and Geography at Ankara University, in Ankara, Turkey, with a minor in French.
