Conference Travel | PD Funds
- Open to students who entered the program prior to Fall 2023
- Provides 75% of transportation costs for students presenting a paper at a scholarly conference. Students may receive a maximum of three awards (only one may be for international travel).
- Complete the Conference Travel/Professional Development Funds Request Form (must be logged into UW-Madison’s Google Workspace).
Students entering the program after fall 2023 will receive professional development funds in annual increments to support conference and research travel and other professional development activities. Professional development funds are accruable from year to year.
Dissertation Research Travel Awards
- Open to dissertators
- Travel support for domestic (up to $2,000) and international (up to $3,000) dissertation research. Students may receive a maximum of two awards (only one may be for international travel).
- Applications due November 1 and March 1 each academic year.
- Competitions announced via email.
