Created in 2015 under the stewardship of then-History Chair James Sweet, our Board of Visitors is composed of twenty-five to thirty-five of our alumni, “ambassadors” whose energies—provided on a volunteer basis—lend critical support in maintaining and enhancing our department’s stature, whether in research, teaching, or professional service.

The board meets twice a year. Its efforts are directed, in particular, to enhancing the History major’s experience, to deepening and extending the department’s national and global networks, and to broadening our financial base.
