Dr. Julius Nziza obtained his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree and is currently completing a Master of Science degree in International Infectious Disease Medicine from Makerere University in Kampala, Uganda. He then served for three years under the Rwandan Department of Tourism and Conservation as the veterinary warden at Nyungwe National Park. He then joined Gorilla Doctors in May of 2010, an organization dedicated to saving the mountain and eastern lowland gorilla species, and oversees work in that respect for Rwanda’s three national parks.
