Emer Lucey, a third-year graduate student, recently won third place for best paper at the Health History in Action Conference held August 26-28 at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland. Emer’s paper, “Ethereal Beauty: The Aestheticization of Autism,” was presented at the Postgraduate Career Development Workshop and Conference organized by the Society for the Social History of Medicine (SSHM), a conference showcasing the best postgraduate research in the history of health and medicine field.
