Department students at History of Astronomy Workshop
July 2015
Three department graduate students attended the recent Biennial History of Astronomy Workshop last month at Notre Dame University: Jamie Brannon, Dana Freiburger, and Scott Trigg. Jamie presented a talk, “Teaching Astronomy in Medieval Western Europe: Dragmaticon vs De Sphaera,” which fit well with workshop’s theme of Astronomy and Authority while Scott and Dana enjoyed the many talks and conversation opportunities found at this relaxed forum.
