Soon-to-arrive Assistant Professor Catherine Jackson has been awarded the 2014 Liebig-Woehler-Freundschaftspreis, or Liebig-Wöhler-Friendship Award, by the Göttinger Chemischen Gesellschaft and Museum der Göttinger Chemie for her work in the history of organic chemistry, including the 2014 article “Synthetical Experiments and Alkaloid Analogues: Liebig, Hofmann and the origins of organic synthesis” in Historical Studies in the Natural Sciences.
First presented in 1994 for outstanding chemistry historical research, preferably on Justus von Liebig and Friedrich Wöhler, this award includes prize money of 1,500 euros. Well done Catherine!
