I am a Ph.D. student in the Department of History at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Interested in the histories of women, gender, and law in the early United States, my work examines the social and legal history of abortion and the politics of reproduction in the nineteenth century. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science with a minor in Women’s and Gender Studies from the University of Tulsa.
