Sophie Olson

The Undergraduate Program Coordinator is responsible for providing information about the History undergraduate program and supporting the program’s students, instructors, and advisors. Sophie updates the undergraduate program web pages; plans and manages program events; coordinates the application process for undergraduate prizes and scholarships; assists in assessment activities of the History Major and History Certificate; serves ex-officio on the department’s Undergraduate Council and Curriculum Committee; facilitates enrollments; promotes course offerings; tracks undergraduate program funding and creates new funding opportunities; and performs data collection and analysis. The Undergraduate Program Coordinator also helps sustain the growth of the undergraduate program by developing and implementing special projects and initiatives to cultivate the community of undergraduates studying history at UW-Madison.
