Biography

I received my bachelor’s and master’s degree from the Department of History at National Taiwan University. My M.A. thesis centers on the thought of Zhu Xi, one of the most dominant Neo-Confucian thinkers in pre-modern China. Currently I am pursuing my doctoral degree at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. My future dissertation will explore the intellectual transition from pre-modern to modern China with a focus on the revival of Wang Yangming’s learning in the late Qing and Republican period.
