Position title: Board of Visitors

John Douglas (’19) is a grant accountant in UW-Madison’s Office of Research and Sponsored Programs (RSP). Broadly speaking, John oversees the financial management of non-Federal grants and fellowships provided to faculty and students on campus, as well as the prestigious William F. Vilas Awards. Before this, John interned with RSP, worked as a Constituent Relations and Policy Coordinator for a WI State Senator, and was as a project member for the U.S. Office of Inspector General’s audit of UW-Madison. John received a B.B.A. and majored in Accounting and History (with Distinction). He served as Editor and Editor-in-Chief of ARCHIVE and was a member of the History Department’s Undergraduate Council. He considers the most meaningful aspect of his undergraduate experience to be the time spent working with and learning from Professor David McDonald, Professor Nan Enstad, Professor Susan Lee Johnson, Professor Emeritus Michael Chamberlain, and Professor Emeritus John Sharpless.
