Robert N. Gross is a history teacher and assistant academic dean at Sidwell Friends School. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. and writes about the social and educational history of the United States. His first book is Public vs. Private: The Early History of School Choice in America (Oxford University Press, 2018).
