Brigid O’Keeffe, Professor of History at Brooklyn College of the City of New York will be giving a virtual presentation on her fantastic new book, Esperanto and Languages of Internationalism in Revolutionary Russia at CREECA next Thursday, October 21, from 4-5:15 PM. Professors Kathryn Ciancia and Sarah Thal will be providing brief comments and questions before opening the floor to discussion. The talk is being sponsored by CREECA and the Center for German and European Studies with funding from DAAD. Our aim to foster a conversation about Europe and the world.

Professor O’Keeffe will ALSO join graduate students and interested faculty again at 6 PM for an informal conversation about archives and international history. The link is below. Please share it with anyone who might be interested. It’s not necessary to RSVP. But it would be great if you could let me know if you are planning to attend so that I can get a sense of the numbers.
