Responsible for processing all admission applications to History's graduate program. Supplies potential applicants with appropriate materials and information as requested. Sets up new graduate student files and records. Prepares fall, spring, and summer timetables. Prepares information for entry into WiscInfo system and the World Wide Web (www). Distributes, collects, and initiates the processing of applications for graduate student funding (fellowships, teaching assistantship, readers, etc.) available through the History Department, University, and outside agencies. Works closely with other staff members, Department Administrator, L&S administration, and the Graduate School Fellowships Office on matters pertaining to Teaching Assistants budget and appointments, accounts used for fellowship purposes, eligibility/status of individual graduate students applying for or receiving aid, incoming graduate students requesting funding, and payment and benefits for graduate students. Ex-officio member of the Fellowships and Scholarships Committee and the Joint Committee on Teaching Assistants.
