The Department Administrator initiates many of, and coordinates and manages all of the support services of the History Department. The Department Administrator is the liaison between faculty and staff, and, by bridging the gap between two important parts of the Department, contributes significantly to the Department's instructional effort. The Department Administrator also acts as liaison to the Dean’s Office. The Department Administrator assumes full responsibility for long-term staff planning and for the daily running of the Department; works to assure staff communication and continuous development; and plays a key role in coordinating the staff's and faculty's commitment to pursuing excellence.
