The award may be used for the study of Greek language, literature, history or archaeology, or for the study of French language or literature. The Fellowship is awarded annually and has a stipend of $20,000. Candidates must be unmarried women between the 25 and 35 years of age (inclusive) who have demonstrated their ability to carry on original research.
