"Exiles for God: The Catholic Missionary Phenomenon in Modern Ireland"
My research interests include modern British and Irish cultural history. In particular, I study the histories of Britain, Ireland, and empire in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries with special attention to the relationship between nationalism and religion. My dissertation does so by exploring Irish Catholic missionary endeavors in Britain's African colonies in the twentieth century.
